Why We're Here

We're on a mission to promote public awareness of the many problems related to root flares. In the images below you'll see examples of healthy trees where prominent root flares exist, of trees with non-existent root flares (where the trunk of the tree goes straight into the ground), of girdling roots – a condition of many container-grown trees – which eventually strangle the tree and of tools and techniques, such as the Air Spade®, used to correct poor root flares.
