Who we are

Root Flare Services is a division of Moore Tree Care, a full service tree care company that has been providing proactive quality tree care in the Dallas, Fort Worth market since 1962. As Moore Tree became a pioneer and industry leader in the use of the Air-spade tool and gained valuable experience in exposing root flares and working on planting depth issues it became obvious that the extent of the problems were so wide spread that a company needed to be developed that specialized and focused in this area. Thus the formation of Root Flare Services.

Tyson Woods, Steve Dodd, Danny Myall and Cathy Cook (the management team of Root Flare Services) have a combined total of over 90 years experience in the tree care, landscape architecture, landscape contracting, public gardens and nursery business. Their combined experience offers a unique team that has a keen awareness to the long term benefits and value of trees in our gardens and landscapes. To date this team has been involved in exposing over 4000 trees with the Air-spade. This unequalled experience in the southwest gives Root Flare Services the ability to help individuals, corporations, golf courses, commons areas, college campuses, nurseries or growers of trees, orchards, churches, and timber production.

Root Flares Services is a service company as well as the distributor of the Air-spade tool for Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Louisiana. Root Flare Services feels an obligation to educate the public about the many problems related to current growing and planting techniques of trees. Ask yourself the question, "Why do people plant trees?" Our experience is that most answers are very noble and long term in focus. We believe that the planting of a tree is an act of believing in the future and we want the future to be as healthy and positive as possible for your trees.
